Recycling is a program where Boy Scouts from troops 105, 101, and 102 help out at the Hanover Borough Recycling Center. The scouts unload the vehicles that drive in and place the recyclables in the proper areas. They are able to take the following items: newspapers/phone books, cardboard, aluminum, tin, and glass.
Recycling is held every 2nd Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and every 4th Saturday 8 a.m. -12 p.m., no matter what the weather conditions are.
Recycling helps by earning the troops money to use towards scouting purposes. The money that Troop 105 receives gets split up between member's individual accounts. Each boy in the troop can then use his money to pay for troop outings and camping equipment.
