We are planning on having the annual Scout Picnic on August 22nd at 4:00 pm. The location has yet to be determined.
Fish Camp at Conewago Posted 7/14/10
We will be having our Fish Camp at Camp Conewago this weekend, July 16-18. We will be departing from the church at 7:00 pm on Friday the 16th. Please arrive prior to 7:00 in order to get gear loaded into vehicles. We will then be returning to the church around 1:00 pm on Sunday the 18th.
Scouts should bring their normal camping gear including changes of clothes, eating kit, sleeping bag, etc. New scouts who need advancements should also bring their Scout Books.
Since this is a fish camp, you will need to bring along your fishing rod. Also, bring a pair of old shoes to wear into the creek when fishing.
Chesapeake Bay Sailing Trip Updated 7/21/10 Originally Posted 7/7/10
We will be going sailing on the Chesapeake Bay on July 28 and 29. For this trip we will be leaving the church at 8:30 AM on Wednesday the 28th, arrive at the church around 8:00 AM to get geared pack up. We will then return to the church around 4:00 PM on Thursday the 29th.
Scouts should pack all of their normal camping gear in duffel bags, no backpacks. Additionally, scouts are reminded to bring along a fishing rod, swimsuits, towels, sunglasses, and a hat. If possible, scouts should wear shoes with light-colored soles. Shoes with black or dark soles tend to leave marks on the boat. Flip-flops are allowed to be worn.
