The Class "B" uniform is worn to meetings on Wednesday nights and on certain occasions like traveling to Summer Camp. The uniform consists of:

• Blue Troop Shirt - Earned when a Scout reaches the rank of "Tenderfoot."
• Green Scout Pants/Shorts - Pants/shorts must be the official olive Scout pants, the Centennial Switchback pants, or the Centennial Canvas Convertible pants. Other pants/shorts may be worn to meetings.
• Official Scout Belt - Olive web belt with BSA insignia on brass buckle, or Centennial Boy Scout Web Belt (olive web belt with BSA insignia on carbon color buckle). Not required to wear at meetings.
• Black Troop Hat - Earned when a Scout reaches the rank of "Scout." No other hat may be worn when in uniform.

The Class "A" Uniform is worn to meetings on the third Wednesday of every month and on special occasions like Courts-of-Honor, parades, and Scout Sunday. The uniform consists of:

• Official Khaki Boy Scout Uniform Shirt - The uniform shirt can be the traditional shirt, the Centennial Cotton Rich Poplin shirt, or the Centennial Supplex Nylon shirt. The shirt may be either short-sleeved or long-sleeved and the collar must always be unbuttoned.
• Green Scout Pants/Shorts - Pants/shorts must be the official olive Scout pants, the Centennial Switchback pants, or the Centennial Canvas Convertible pants. Must always be worn when in Class "A" Uniform.
• Official Scout Belt - Olive web belt with BSA insignia on brass buckle, or Centennial Boy Scout Web Belt (olive web belt with BSA insignia on carbon color buckle). Must always be worn when in Class "A" Uniform.
• Merit Badge Sash- Official olive merit badge sash or Centennial merit badge sash with merit badges sewn on the front. Wearing one is optional.
• Black Troop Hat - Earned when a Scout reaches the rank of "Scout." No other hat may be worn when in uniform.
• Proper Patches and Insignia - All scouts must wear either red shoulder loops or Centennial shoulder loops. Placement and lists of all other insignia are listed below.

The following patches must be worn in this order from top to bottom down the left sleeve of the tan scout shirt. All patches should be worn snug up, and touching each other.

• "York Adams Area Council" Council Patch
• 75 year Veteran Bar
• "105" Unit Numeral (either red or Centennial colors, no mixing of both)
• Badge of office (if applicable)

The following patches must be worn in this order from top to bottom down the right sleeve of the tan scout shirt.

• American Flag
• Patrol Patch
• Most Recent Quality Unit Patch

The following must be worn on and around the left pocket of the tan scout shirt. Pocket flaps must always be buttoned.

• Service Stars - Centered above the pocket.
• Rank Badge - Centered on the pocket.
• Arrow of Light Award - If obtained during Cub Scouts, this is worn centered underneath the pocket

The following must be worn on and around the right pocket of the tan scout shirt. Pocket flaps must always be buttoned.

• Order of the Arrow Lodge Insignia - If obtained, this is worn on the pocket flap.
• Scouting Patch - Centered on the pocket. This can be any recent patch obtained (i.e. Camporee/Camporall patch)

Scout Uniforms and accessories can be purchased in many places, however you should always check with the troop first when you need to make a uniform related purchase.

The troop has an assortment of official Scout shirts and pants. Boys can borrow and use the pants and shirts until they grow out of them, at which time they should be returned. The troop provides patrol patches, rank badges, and badges of office when they are needed. In addition, the troop has an assortment of patches and shoulder loops available for sale.

Another place to get official scout uniforms is the York Adams Area Council Scout Shop. They sell uniform shirts, pants, belts, patches, and pretty much anything relating to scouting. The shop is located in York, PA; directions can be found using the link above.

Lastly, you can purchase uniforms online at Scoutstuff.org. Official scouting merchandise can be found here, but patches relating specifically to our council may not be available.
